In addition, the company works with the best trade shops in the area to deliver a wide array of offset printing services.

Located two miles south of Stanford, we offer students and staff a 10% discount. We serve customers large and small, ranging from our own Barron Park neighbors, nearby Silicon Valley tech firms, non-profits and print brokers to clients located in San Francisco, Brooklyn, Seattle and many places in between.

Whether for short run digital or longer run offset, Copy Factory specializes in affordable, quality color printing. Our prices are lower than FedExOffice/Kinkos and the big box national office supply stores; plus we take an interest in – and bring our expertise to – each and every project, producing professional quality work and meeting customers' deadlines.

Utilizing our Ricoh Pro C7210x high-speed digital press, a Ricoh Pro 5110s printer/copier and a OKI Pro900DP laser printer we offer quality color printing solutions for a broad array of requirements, from corporate data sheets, booklets and manuals to personal projects like invitations, photobooks, and special event programs. And, yes, we do “color copies” from hard copy but we really prefer to print from a digital file which makes every copy an original.

For offset color, we partner with top notch, locally owned bay area trade companies, who only deal with retail shops like Copy Factory, and offer very affordable pricing.

In addition to stocking our self service copiers with 100% post consumer waste recycled paper, we use an earth-friendly line of digital color copy paper. Our black and white self service machines use Hammermill Great White 100. For color digital printing, we feature the Mohawk line of papers. And we use the Domtar line of colored papers, which contain the most recycled content of any on the market.

Mohawk and Domtar have made commitments to earth-friendly practices not only in terms of products and manufacturing processes, but also including their corporate citizenship. For instance, all of the Mohawk's papers are made using 100% wind power. In addition, the company is "carbon neutral" and offers the only 100% post-consumer recycled 28 lb. color copy paper available.

Any new pulp contained in the papers we use comes from managed forest farms, all Forest Council Certified. All of our paper waste is recycled. See the links on the right hand panel for additional information on the U.S. paper industry's commitment to recycling and sustainability.

For projects ranging from large production runs to self-service copy jobs, we've got the equipment and know-how that allows us to meet deadlines and offer competitive pricing -- a Ricoh Pro 8320s, as well as Canon self-serve copiers.

We welcome self-publishers, specializing in short run, soft cover bound books. We've had the pleasure of working with countless local authors both young and old. Numerous teachers and parents from surrounding schools are clients and we've printed scores of Master's and Doctoral theses, both on 20 lb. bond and 25% cotton papers. Plus, we print and bind course readers for Stanford, Foothill College, and San Jose State.

Our full-service bindery offers a wide array of binding options to suit the unique needs of every project. We do saddle-stitch booklets as well as coil, wire-o, tape, Velo (strip), and comb binding.

Additionally, we offer in-house short and medium run perfect binding, also known as quality trade or soft cover binding. Set up on the equipment is quick and efficient such that we can do custom orders for just a few books, as well as larger production quantities. Folding, scoring and cutting services are also available.

Our state-of-the-art Epson SureColor P10000 inkjet plotter produces outstanding prints on various materials ranging from high end photo to economy ink jet papers. The 9 color Ultrachrome inks are fade-resistant and waterproof.

For blueprints and academic/scientific presentations, we utilize our HP DesignJet T3500 multifunction inkjet printer/copier/scanner, which prints from PDF files as well as duplicating and scanning hard copy plans.

We offer mounting and laminating services. Our primary mounting material is foam board, but environmentally-friendly EcoBoard is also available as are Coroplast and other substrates. For outdoor vinyl banners and specialty signs, we partner with the area's best locally-owned trade shops.

Copy Factory opened in 1997. The current owners acquired the company in February 2007. Implementing best practices gathered from years working for the area's top printing companies, we are committed to providing Copy Factory's customers with on-time, quality work at affordable prices. And with a passion for customer service and satisfaction, we believe a successful project starts with treating the customer with courtesy and respect.

The company's facility in Palo Alto, California, houses all the equipment needed to manufacture practically any type of digital printing and bindery project.
